Available Permits

Red Restricted Permit

This permit is intended for job superintendents and essential personnel with a university contract.

  • Parking: Valid in Red Restricted areas.
  • Permits are requested by project and are limited to 5 red per project for general contractors and 2 red per project for sub-contractors.
  • Valid in a regular, non-reserved space, in a red, green or purple color zones, in proximity to the project the permit is assigned to.

P10 W / Round Rock Permit

This permit is for general contractors and workers.

  • San Marcos: Only valid in the P10 West parking lot.
  • Round Rock: Only valid in the purple parking zones at the Round Rock Higher Education Center.

Service and Delivery

Service Delivery Permit must be displayed in addition to a Construction\Contractor parking permit.

  • Providing short-term services (e.g., deliveries of food or supplies).
  • Parking: University surface lots or loading zones for no longer than 15 minutes.
  • Emergency flashers must be activated.
  • S/D permits are physical permits and must be displayed at all times.

Contractor Procedures

  • All parking permits are virtual. Your license plate must be accurately registered and visible.
  • Permit requests must be submitted through an authorized Company Contact and can take 6-10 business days for approval and processing.
  • Once requested and approved, permits must be paid for and cannot be canceled.
  • Contractors are not eligible to use the pay-to-park garages or the pay-by-app option.
  • Contractor permits may not be used by TXST students, faculty, or staff.
  • The Company or Business is solely responsible for all citations.
  • All citations MUST be paid before any permits will be processed
  • Processing for permits and vehicle updates can take 3 - 5 business days.
  • If the company needs to park unpermitted vehicles on university property, the company may contact the contracting department about the possibility of obtaining daily scratch-off permits.
  • An authorized company contact is anyone authorized to the account and is authorized to incur fee and fines that will be the sole responsibility of the company to pay. The primary contact gets citation notice emails and is the first person we reach out to when we need to contact the company.
  • A university contact is the university employee who is the point of contact for the project.
